Role Overview:

They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their London office and contribute to their continued success. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in cost management, procurement, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
  • Evaluate and analyze project specifications to develop comprehensive cost plans.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Participate in the procurement process, including tender analysis, contractor selection, and contract negotiation.
  • Monitor project costs and financial progress, providing regular reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough cost assessments of variations and change orders, ensuring accurate cost impact analysis.
  • Manage and oversee valuation of work in progress, interim payments, and final accounts.
  • Contribute to risk assessment and management, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice on cost control, value engineering, and cost management strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Professional membership or chartered status (e.g., MRICS) is preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing cost control for construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as CostX, CATO, or similar.
