A leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering complex, technically challenging projects across Europe and globally. The business specialises in data centres, advanced manufacturing, logistics, food and pharmaceutical developments, with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficient project delivery.

The Role

The Project Quality Manager will lead quality assurance and quality control activities on a major data centre project in Bedburg. Reporting to the Project Director and working closely with the international quality team, you will ensure that all construction activities meet project specifications, client expectations, regulatory requirements and ISO 9001 standards.

The role will have a particular focus on MEP installation quality, supporting the project from construction through testing, commissioning and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project Quality Management Plan.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, building codes, regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Develop and manage Inspection and Test Plans, quality sign-offs and hold points.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits and compliance reviews.
• Monitor MEP installation quality, materials and workmanship.
• Manage defects, non-conformances, root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Review and approve subcontractor and supplier quality plans.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, audits and quality performance.
• Produce regular quality reports for the project leadership team and client.
• Identify quality risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Deliver quality training and promote a Right First Time culture across the project.
• Coordinate quality documentation, final approvals and project handover requirements.
• Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement across the project.

About You

• Significant construction quality management experience on large, technically complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Experience developing and managing Quality Management Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Confident conducting audits, site inspections and root-cause investigations.
• Strong subcontractor, supplier and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of relevant German or European construction standards and regulations.
• Degree in construction management, engineering, quality management or a related discipline.
• Data centre, mission-critical or advanced technology project experience would be advantageous.
• CQI membership or knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 would be beneficial.
