CSA Package Manager

Our client is a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering complex design-and-build projects across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. The business operates within the data centre, pharmaceutical, logistics, food and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The Role

An experienced CSA Package Manager is required to support the delivery of a large-scale data centre project in Skien. Working for the main contractor, you will manage the Civil, Structural and Architectural packages from procurement through to completion and handover.

You will be responsible for ensuring the works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage CSA packages throughout the full project lifecycle, from procurement to handover.
• Oversee civil, structural and architectural subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, quality standards and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain short and medium-term construction programmes.
• Coordinate CSA activities with MEP, commissioning, design and commercial teams.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, progress and productivity.
• Manage RFIs, technical submittals, NCRs and design coordination matters.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and progress reviews.
• Review and implement risk assessments and method statements.
• Support the procurement and appointment of CSA subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review variations, payment applications and package forecasts.
• Support cost reporting and commercial management of the CSA packages.
• Lead progress and coordination meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Identify programme, design and interface risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Promote a strong health, safety and quality culture across all CSA activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing CSA packages on major construction projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale data centre, pharmaceutical or high-tech industrial projects is highly advantageous.
• Track record of managing CSA packages valued at €20 million or above is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of design coordination, technical submittals and construction sequencing.
• Good commercial awareness, including subcontractor procurement, variations and payment applications.
• Familiarity with BIM processes, digital field tools and project management systems.
• Strong understanding of construction health, safety and quality requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
