Senior Quantity Surveyor – Data Centres (Relocation to the USA)

A leading international construction and cost consultancy is seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of major data centre programmes across the United States.


Working with some of the world's largest technology companies, you will join an established team delivering complex, high-value projects from inception through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Quantity Surveyors looking to relocate to the USA and further their careers within a globally recognised consultancy.


Comprehensive relocation support is available for successful candidates relocating from the UK or Australia.


The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial and cost management services across large-scale data centre developments, supporting projects throughout both the pre-contract and post-contract phases.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and managing cost plans, estimates and project budgets.
  • Producing cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Managing procurement and tender processes.
  • Contract administration and change management.
  • Reviewing contractor applications and assessing variations.
  • Providing commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Working collaboratively with clients, contractors and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Supporting the delivery of technically complex, high-value data centre programmes.


Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Experience within a consultancy or professional cost management environment.
  • Demonstrable pre-contract and post-contract cost management experience on major construction projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen and client-facing communication skills.
  • Data centre experience is advantageous; however, candidates with experience across commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical or other major construction sectors will also be considered.
  • MRICS is advantageous but not essential.
