About the Role:

A dynamic and experienced Senior Programme Manager is required to manage a large-scale logistics center development. The successful candidate will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the programme is delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. This project includes the construction of 8 million square feet of logistics space, a rail freight interchange, and essential road and energy infrastructure.

The Senior Programme Manager will lead the coordination of multiple project teams, manage key stakeholders, and drive the project forward to completion. This role requires exceptional project management skills, with a focus on delivering complex, high-value projects in the logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of a major logistics development, including construction, infrastructure, and the rail freight interchange.
• Oversee the development of logistics space, road networks, energy infrastructure, and landscape zones.
• Develop, track, and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful delivery aligned with strategic goals.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure the project is delivered on time and within financial constraints.
• Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring the necessary resources, support, and guidance are available to meet project milestones.
• Manage risks, issues, and changes throughout the project, implementing effective strategies to address challenges.
• Regularly report on project progress, risks, and any issues to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and external partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Ensure robust project governance and that all documentation is accurate and up to date

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Senior Programme Manager or Project Manager in large-scale construction or logistics developments.
• Proven experience delivering complex, high-value projects in industrial, logistics, or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Deep knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, particularly in large infrastructure or logistics developments.
• Experience managing infrastructure-related projects such as energy systems, road networks, and logistics facilities is highly desirable.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
• Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APM) is desirable.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
