With a strong reputation for excellence and innovation, this company offers a unique opportunity for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team based in London.

Role Overview:

Our client, a renowned real estate consultancy, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional cost management solutions for a variety of high-profile projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will contribute to the success of diverse projects within the real estate sector, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and requirements.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
  • Evaluate project specifications and develop comprehensive cost plans that align with client expectations.
  • Participate in the procurement process, including contractor selection and negotiation.
  • Monitor project costs, provide regular financial reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage valuation of work in progress, interim payments, and final accounts.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of variations and change orders, analysing their cost implications.
  • Provide expert advice on cost control, value engineering, and cost management strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Chartered status or membership with relevant professional bodies (e.g., MRICS) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of [X] years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction or real estate industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as CostX, CATO, or similar.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
