Location: Mayfair, London
Contract: 12 months (Freelance)
Day Rate: £180–£200 (DOE) - outside IR35
The Project
We’re seeking a freelance Document Controller to support the construction phase of a £15 million luxury spa, part of a larger ultra-prime residential development in Mayfair. The project is already on site and entering key delivery stages.
Role Overview
You’ll manage all construction documentation, ensuring accurate control and distribution of drawings, RFIs, technical submittals, and site records. This is a delivery-focused role, requiring close coordination with contractors, consultants, and client reps.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage document control system (Aconex)
- Maintain accurate drawing registers, RFIs, submittals, and approvals
- Ensure timely distribution of information across site and consultant teams
- Track document workflows and highlight outstanding actions
- Support compliance and quality assurance throughout construction
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience as Document Controller on construction projects
- Strong understanding of site-based delivery environments
- Experience with ultra-prime or luxury projects preferred
- Proficient in common document control platforms
- Organised, detail-oriented, and confident working independently
