Capstone are recruiting on behalf of a leading independent Cost Consultancy based in London for a M&E Quantity Surveyor / Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor. Our client has quickly become one of London's leading Cost Management businesses punching well above its weight with an enviable client base. Their M&E team has gained a strong reputation in the market with a full order book for next year and as a result have a requirement for someone who can hit the ground running,

The Role

Our client is seeking a Cost Manager / Senior Cost Manager with experience working in the M&E sector or has a strong desire to move into the sector. The work across sectors including Commercial offices, residential, life Sciences and Data Centres. You will be joining a team that is quickly growing with clear career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting cost estimates and budget management for mechanical and electrical (M&E) aspects of construction projects.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.
• Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor agreements.
• Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost variations.
• Assisting in the preparation and evaluation of tender documentation.
• Providing expert advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ideally MRICS qualification (But not essential)
• Proven experience in cost management in the M&E Sector
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in industry software and tools.
• A track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
