SENIOR COMMERCIAL MANAGER | CLIENT SIDE

Capstone Recruitment are working exclusively with a Developer based in Montenegro. They are looking for a senior commercial manager to relocate to Montenegro and oversee the commercial strategy and operations for a high specification redevelopment of one of the ports. Reporting directly to the Head Of Commercial, the candidate will provide support in all aspects of procurement, risk management, budgeting, and governance, as well as devising and implementing departmental policies and procedures. The role involves researching efficient procurement methods, and monitoring the performance of the department against profitability, cost, time, quality, and safety targets.

The Senior Commercial Manager will also be responsible for providing bespoke development and construction analysis on potential future projects and overseeing ongoing projects, ensuring its successful commercial delivery. They will support the Head of Commercial Management in maximising development opportunities and delivering in accordance with investment criteria.

Other responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and management of annual property development department budgets for all development projects and commercial initiatives
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and ensure alignment with the Finance Department
• Manage change management process and budget transfer documentation for budgets and contingency allowance of budgets
• Review and enforce all reporting mechanisms and assist in the interface of interdepartmental inputs and liaisons related to budgeting and reporting
• Assist in validating and reconciling all spend against budget and obtaining approval from the Head of Commercial Management

Requirements:

• MRICS Preferred
• Over 7 years post graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
• Negotiation and team work skills
• Detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters
