UP TO £35,000 + PACKAGE

 

Capstone are working closely with a specialist health and life sciences consultancy to recruit a Project Support Officer. Our client supports organisations to become more efficient and effective in the core sectors that we work in; whether improving patient pathways for the NHS, developing laboratories to facilitate world-leading science, or rationalising educational campuses to attract the highest calibre students and research investment.


As a Project Support Officer, you will be working within the Project Management team to provide a high-quality level of project assistance and business support in the delivery of professional services to new and existing clients. The role will include some client facing activities, as well as internal support to the project delivery teams. You will be expected to work closely with senior members of the team to facilitate effective and efficient delivery of our services. The role will also include managing the tender response process and assisting in other new business development activities such as preparation of presentations and material to support client pitches.


As Project Support Officer you will be involved in the following:


  • Provide support to project workshops and team meetings, including preparation of agendas, communication with attendees, recording at workshop, report writing;
  • Co-ordination of Risk Management services, including scheduling regular project reviews, preparing slide packs, updating risk registers and assisting in the development of risk management plans;
  • Project Review support, including scheduling attendees, note taking during reviews, document analysis and assisting in the development of output reports;
  • Project Management support, including assisting in the preparation of project execution plans, stage plans and co-ordinating monthly reports / dashboards; provide assistance in the management and administration of works and professional services contracts
  • Provide general ad hoc support at project meetings and client board meetings as necessary, including scheduling attendance, issuing papers in advance, taking minutes and tracking actions.


Requirements

 

  • Substantial and recent experience undertaking a similar role in a professional environment;
  • Experience supporting delivery of major capital schemes and in a health care setting or similar environment;
  • Experience within the construction sector
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Well-developed presentation skills;
  • Excellent organisational and written presentation skills;
  • IT literate in Microsoft Office products and specifically Word;
  • Excel and PowerPoint;
