Position: Head of Building Surveying

Location: London (flexible working 1 day a week in the office) 

Salary: £75,000 + £5,886 Car allowance, benefits and bonus


Capstone are recruiting on behalf of an Employee-Owned, successful national property consultancy who provide the full range of property services and advise large corporate businesses, developers, investors, lenders, local authorities and a sizeable number of occupier types. With a unique hybrid policy of working 1 day in the office per week this is a great opportunity for an Associate level Surveyor to move into a Head of Building Role. About the role:
This role would suit an Associate level Surveyor or above who is used to working remotely but can still lead a team. The Head of Building will need to be a key strategic leader of the business and responsible for setting the strategic direction for the division and the financial targets while being able to create business plans and implement them. The role also includes the ability to:

• Lead the team and brings out the best performance in the members of the team
• Ambassador for the company
• Delivers against own fee target and generates business in excess of fee target leading to growth of the team
• Provides guidance on complicated instructions
• Deals with management and performance of staff
• Contribute towards business development initiatives for the benefit of the team and company, including cross selling to other teams and departments
• Identifies new business opportunities, which the company could expand into where appropriate
• Responsible for Quality assurance compliance and improvement in processes

Key Requirements:

• MRICS/FRICS with post qualification experience
• Experience in all services listed above
• Ability for business development with support from team and wider business
• Experience in managing and developing internal teams
• Outstanding client relationship management
