Senior Quantity Surveyor | Healthcare 

Up to £75,000 per annum


My client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in the healthcare sector to join their vibrant and sociable team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cost management services on various industry-leading healthcare projects and will work closely with project teams and clients to provide accurate cost estimating, cost planning, value engineering, and procurement services. This candidate will gain excellent exposure and can expect quick progression due to the success of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the cost management services for healthcare projects, ensuring project cost plans are maintained and updated regularly.
  • Provide accurate cost estimating, cost planning, value engineering, and procurement services to support project delivery.
  • Manage the procurement process for healthcare projects, ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support where required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project teams and clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction is achieved.
  • Ensure all project cost reports are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the company to identify opportunities for cross-discipline collaboration and service offering.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost management services, with a focus on healthcare projects.
  • Professional membership of a recognized industry body (e.g. RICS).
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare construction and design standards and regulations.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard cost management software.
