Rob Joslin is a Founder & Director of Capstone. Based in London he is responsible for the Development & Project Management team in the UK; a sector where he is firmly established with over 12 years’ experience. Rob now focuses on senior level retained search assignments for leading consultants, developers, investors and funds.  

Upon graduation from Oxford Brookes University he spent a year in the property industry before joining a large real estate recruitment company. He worked closely with the owners, Dominic Judd & Mark Farris, who later became Capstone’s non-executive directors. This experience gave him the appetite to co-found Capstone, and develop a dynamic real estate recruitment offering lacking after the recession in 2008. He hasn’t looked back since.   

Rob feels one of the positives about being a Director at Capstone is working with his team; developing & mentoring consultants, from all walks of life, to be the best they can be. If Rob isn’t in one of London’s meeting rooms interviewing candidates or out of the office meeting clients, you will hear him leading from the front on the sales floor.

Senior Development Manager (Fund)

£80000.00 - £115000.00 per annum + Bonus & Benefits     London, England

Position: Senior Development Manager Location: Central London Salary: £80,000 to £115,000 plus Bonus & Benefits A privately owned global real estate investment, development, and management firm, with a presence within most major cities across 30 countries and over £100 billion of assets under management, are recruiting exclusively through Capstone to identify a Development Manager to be based in Central London. The roles function will be to help manage the delivery of its current development projects in the UK and Ireland including commercial office, residential, industrial and mixed-use schemes. Heads of terms have recently been agreed on 2 brand new major office buildings in the West End with construction values of £150m per development, in addition to a notable pipeline of existing projects, there could not be a more exciting time to join this team. The role; Responsibility for the delivery of multiple development projects from inception through to construction delivery Liaison with internal team members to manage the coordinated delivery of the wider commercial activities of each project e.g third party finance, branding, marketing and leasing activities leading to the sale of development projects Assisting with the sourcing and assessment of new assets and development projects The successful candidate must have a construction, real estate, engineering or architectural related degree and or background, ideally coupled with a professional qualification or accreditation. You will have a minimum of 5 years practical experience of direct project management within a developer led environment working either as a consultant or developer. You will have a personable approach to teams and be calm in your approach, building relationships is essential coupled with driving process. The environment is that of a property trader, the clock is ticking once an acquisition has been made and there must always be a certainty of delivery.
