We’re working with a Global Leader in Design and Engineering aiming to add value to projects by creating iconic and elegantly functional structures and transport infrastructure that benefit the communities they connect.
With operations around the world, they lead the way with flexible work and provide advanced systems so you can take advantage of that.
Working on some of the super exciting and large scale projects around Australia, they now need an experienced traffic engineer or modeller to mentor junior and grads in their Sydney location.
We're looking for someone how can be the "go to" person, and provide technical leadership particularly around Aimsun and/or Vissim software usage.
Whilst not responsible for the day to day managing on staff, you will be comfortable as a project leader or being the face of the organisation when facing clients.
While able to develop technically sound modelling reports is important, it is more important that you are able to critically, and respectfully, review others reports.
The amount of work coming through is fairly strong, with a decent amount coming through from other divisions that require traffic / transport modelling, it is important you can put a strong bid together.
We're looking for someone who enjoys supporting others, and does this from a technically sound position, so you'll have the respect of those more junior. We envisage at least 5 year experience in a modelling / planning role, the last few years in which you have supported others. Though I'm very open to talking to others that feel they still fit the bill. You will need to have a great background in developing fit-for-purpose modelling methodologies
Ideally having exposure to NSW Government projects, where most of the work sits, we will also consider candidates with very solid other Australian state understanding, including knowledge of standards and suitability of various model products.
Experience enhancing modelling capabilities through technology will be very well regarded.
Salary package is a healthy base, with a very exciting bonus structure, which can be up to 25% of your salary. We are also able to offer access to extensive professional development opportunities.
