An organisation in the realm of entertainment and performance, an owner of exclusive, world-class assets which are in an exciting phase of redevelopment, driving innovation and reimagining Melbourne’s cultural landscape.
Reporting to the Project Director, our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will be leading a team of three project managers and liaising closely with him as his 2IC. The team currently offers a wealth of experience within the entertainment sector and is seeking a leader who shares this interest/passion but not necessarily someone who has worked in this field.
The business has a number of on-going projects at various stages which this person will play a vital role in. There are three key projects currently in initial phases; redevelopment of an entertainment complex, 20,000 sqm of public realm development and the new build of a commercial facility. All projects are large in scale with development duration expanding from 3-10 years’.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of project managers
- High focus on stakeholder management, internally and externally. Communication is a key part of this role.
- Working with internal and external groups on the design, with a focus on innovation and excellence.
- Managing and delivering project outcomes including design and construction management
- Participate in defining project outcomes and deliverables
- Manage financial budget deliveries
You would have demonstrated 5+ years’, as a minimum, experience in a project management role across any asset classes. Our client is also willing to consider someone with a sound Project Management background who has transitioned into a Development Manager role given the nature of where the projects are at.
Experience working in a live operating environment would be highly considered. The client would look preferably on someone who has worked client side but would also look at someone from a consultancy background who understands how to get the best from their consultants to achieve the highest quality results.
Due to the unique projects, there will be a high number of internal and external stakeholders who will be involved, hence it is essential you would present strong communication skills and a sound understanding of working across various divisions.
In return, you will be involved in landmark projects that will be long standing in the Melbourne iconic landscape, which would be career defining and well regarded in the industry. An exciting opportunity to be part of something unique, at the forefront of innovation.
CBD location, flexible working hours, professional development opportunities and great entertainment benefits.
