Position: Senior Development Manager (Developer)

Location: Central London (flexible working)

Salary: £100,000 to £130,000 plus bonus + benefits

We are searching for an outstanding Senior Development Manager to work alongside an established team and lead the delivery of mixed-use projects across the UK. This role is only suitable to those who want to support a platform in pushing the boundaries and positioning a business at the forefront of housing design. Driven by innovation this opportunity supports the creative vision of a project from concept to reality. You will lead design and viability stage, through to planning and consent and then from development to handover.


About you


  • Knowledge of all phases of a development project from inception through to construction delivery
  • Able to own the Project Management, Design Management and Cost Planning
  • Understanding of project risks and opportunities which could impact success
  • Comfortable developing or adapting complex financial models
  • Appreciation of detail technical specifications and innovation measures which can help drive ESG credentials
  • A leader with a collaborative style, must be ego free
  • An ability to think outside of the physical form, understanding social impact and community benefits
  • An eye for detail and willingness to challenge the status quo


About the role


  • Manage projects through feasibility, site assembly, planning, pre-letting, funding, development, delivery, marketing, leasing and hand over
  • Undertake complex development appraisals and various financial analysis
  • Writing and presenting reports accompanied with relevant documentation and supporting evidence to secure board sponsorship for proceeding with the development
  • Create business plans for potential development sites
  • Building collaborative working relationships with internal and external project teams
  • Production of project development brief with explicit objectives, roles & responsibilities, programme and deliverables
  • Appointment and management of professional team
  • Support planning applications through the planning process to secure consent
  • Manage legal due diligence, contractual negotiations with partners and the documentation of all relevant agreements
  • Procure and manage the delivery phases of the project
  • Lead the negotiation of the main construction contract to ensure compliance to the development brief
