Office Administrator/Secretary

Location: West End, London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and friendly person to join a well established, independant Chartered Surveyors.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, numerate and interpersonal, joining a busy team with a strong emphasis on providing an efficient service, tailored to a variety of clients.

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Word processing / typing and collating correspondence and other documents from audio / digital dictation, amending and formatting documents quickly and accurately - minimum of 65 wpm required
  • Day to day typing of, reports including tables/photos etc, letters, memoranda and file notes, etc.
  • Taking messages accurately and passing to appropriate person(s)
  • Maintaining diary systems for surveyors, arranging booking meetings
  • Maintain an effective filing system
  • Organising travel arrangements and any other ad hoc duties as and when required
  • Working as part of a team to ensure that effective secretarial cover is maintained
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards and the firm's policies in general

Skills Required:

  • A good eye for detail
  • A spirit of co-operation with a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are essential including the ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Excellent spelling and grammar
  • Ability to use initiative and to work well under pressure / to deadlines
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Commitment to the success of the firm
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required from time-to-time
  • Experience in ISO 9001 accredited administration is beneficial
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (65+wpm)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A willingness to serve client
