POSITION: NETWORK OPERATIONS MANAGER - EV

LOCATION: ST ALBANS (FLEXIBLE WORKING ENVIRONMENT)

SALARY: £40,000 TO £50,000 PLUS BONUS + BENEFITS

The UK's largest independent forecourt operator with a portfolio of around 1,000 petrol stations across the UK are recruiting a Network Operations Manager to monitor and maintain the health of its rapidly growing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging network. The Group operates a franchise model partnering with market leading brands and is host to some of the country's leading retailers. With a committed £400m EV spend over the next 10 years, they are at the forefront of on route EV charging and this role is vital in ensuring their customers have the best experience at their hubs.

The role

  • Develop process to ensure maximum uptime of network
  • Troubleshooting for all operative and infrastructure incidents for a nationally distributed network
  • Provide second level support to first level agents, assisting with all technical and product related queries
  • Escalate unresolved issues
  • Strong focus on monitoring alerts and alarms to quickly identify potential issues
  • Maintain internal tickets, alerts and KPIs
  • Monitor daily quality of services
  • Set up and administer tariffs/offers
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors in value chain where applicable to ensure network reliability
  • Support wider EV charging team as required

About you

  • experience with web technologies
  • experience with supporting users in web applications/CRMS/BMS
  • Good understanding of managing incidents and supporting systems
  • Excellent trouble shooting and diagnosis capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork
  • Excellent time management, multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Perceptive, fast learner and able to perform well under pressure
  • Experience with managing real time incidents in a fast-paced environment

If you have experience in a similar type of position and a track record monitoring tools, routers, switches, Cellular and Ethernet, load balancers and firewalls, we want to hear from you. You don't need to have a strong knowledge of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, but it would be advantageous.
