ob specification: Junior Development Surveyor (Temporary)
? We require a driven individual who is able to start immediately. We expect this role will be required
for 4-6 weeks commencing September 2021. If the candidate shows particular promise, this could lead to a longer-term or permanent position (but we can make no commitments in this regard).
Role and responsibilities:
? The main role will be to assist and work alongside the Senior Surveyor and Managing Director, working on new opportunities and instructions for the business.
? To research residential and commercial comparable evidence and also planning histories and planning potential of sites.
? To appraise and value residential and commercial development or investment sites.
? To prepare sales particulars for development opportunities to be marketed for sale. This will involve writing property descriptions, interpreting architects plans and schedules, researching the planning status of a property and presenting it in a clear, logical brochure format, together with raising the relevant questions needed to present this information.
? To meet with and speak on the phone with vendors and purchasers where required.
Minimum requirements for the candidate:
? University degree in a property-related subject.
? Experience working within the property industry.
? A good understanding of the property industry, the planning system, London property values and market conditions.
? Excellent communication skills: very good written English and a confident telephone manner.
? Confident, positive and a go-getter.
? An outgoing personality with a positive mental attitude.
? A highly organised approach to work, with good time management skills.
? Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
? An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
? Thorough understanding and proficiency with all Microsoft programmes, particularly Excel
? Previous experience with using Land Insight and Glenigan.
? Understanding of the commercial property sector as well as the residential sector.
? Understanding of how to obtain owners' details when they are not provided when sourcing
£80-£100 per day (£400-£500 per week)
