Head of Property

Opportunity- Head of Property Fixed Term Contract- 6 months with extension

Location- Remote with monthly site inspections ( nationwide)

Salary- circa £75,000 per annum pro rata

A leading transport operator is looking for an exceptional Head of Property to lead on all property related matters across their portfolio of 19 sites throughout the UK and Channel Islands. This is on an interim basis during a period of operational change. Direct involvement in all new ventures where you would be part of the acquisitions process and premises due diligence evaluations.

About the opportunity-

  • Operational delivery - regular site inspections, stakeholder engagement, handover, lease administration, real estate transactional activity with a clear calendar of planned activity and support Facilities operations, and location moves
  • Entering lease, rent, rates and other property negotiations
  • Detailed cost reporting, reconciliation and analysis across all elements of Property
  • Working with site based operational teams to identify their property and facilities management needs and to implement a plan for improvement
  • Identify opportunities to create a fit for purpose property portfolio as part of the Senior Leadership Team

About you-

  • Chartered Surveyor with extensive experience and experience of structured client reporting
  • Proven track record in similar position / environment
  • Strategic critical thinker
  • Skilled negotiator / influencer
  • Lease Management and Landlord/Tennant Applications knowledge
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Leadership & motivational skills
  • IT skills
  • A general awareness and understanding of the public sector and RCIS Service Change Code would also be advantageous
