FINANCE MANAGER | CLIENT SIDE | EUROPEAN INVESTMENT COMPANY

LOCATION: BIRMINGHAM, UK

SALARY: £65,000 - £85,000 + PACKAGE

Capstone have partnered with a leading European Residential real-estate company, who are looking to recruit an exceptional Finance Manager to help develop their UK Finance Team. The company has a vision to enrich and simplify the lives of their customers through Friendly Homes. This is a key management position, managing a local team as part of a dynamic and international environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of accounting and finance function in UK
  • Responsible for accounting, internal financial and operational reporting to local management and Group, local statutory reporting requirements, budgeting, tax and VAT compliance
  • Develop a strong accounting and reporting function in line with the Company's values, vision and growth strategy, including but not limited to the development of processes, systems, automation, reporting tools, internal control and organization
  • Responsible for the bookkeeping, payment approvals, reconciliations
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly financial and operational reporting process to country management and group.
  • Management of local budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Local treasury and cash management
  • Administrative support and corporate document handling for all UK companies
  • Support local management and Group in any aspect related to reporting of business activities, finance, accounting, reporting, tax and VAT in UK
  • Contributor to other business processes, including, transactions, acquisitions, business cases etc
  • Coordinate and ensure efficient local audits aligned with internal Group timeline
  • Proactively collaborate across departments and functions
  • Manage and maintain local company overview and structure
  • Liaison for external financial providers, including amongst other auditors, banks, insurance providers and other partners

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as finance manager from a large company, preferably in an international business environment. You have experience managing teams and with personnel responsibility
  • Experience from working with the majority or all processes within accounting, reporting, tax and corporate compliance requirements
  • Solid IT knowledge and interest in ERP systems. Experience from working with projects and process development
  • Excellent skills in 365 Office (notably ppt and excel)
  • University degree/MSc in business administration, Accounting or similar
