Façade Project Manager
Location: London
Contract type: 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum + package

Working for a façade contractor with ambitious growth plans, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and delivering a major landmark project in London, safely, on programme, within budget, and to the full satisfaction of our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that the site teams and subcontractors under your supervision comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements and adhere to the Company's systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
° Project Planning and Management
° Plan projects, ensuring that they are programmed and resourced efficiently and effectively
° Working closely with the Site & Logistics Manager and the general Site Team ensure that materials are procured in accordance with Company procedures to achieve best value and avoid production delays and waste.
° Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with the commercial team
° Produce and analyse progress reports
° Set and monitor production targets against site schedules, current and forward
° Ensure the production and maintenance of accurate site records
° Ensure the correct engagement and supervision of subcontractors
° Assess the skill and competence of subcontractors and notify the Company's procurement team in the event that further action is required
° Work closely with the Company's commercial team during the valuation and cost to complete process, to ensure that they have a full knowledge and understanding of all additional works instructed by the client and that any written approval procedure required by the client is adhered to by the site team
° Identify any areas for improvement in the Company's systems and procedures

Health, Safety and Environmental
° Ensure compliance by employees and subcontractors with Company policies and procedures and those of our clients, in addition to complying with our legal obligations
° Implement the Company risk management procedure for each project, review the risk register and ensure that the relevant risk controls are in place
° Allocate health & safety responsibilities and duties to site operatives
° Work with the Company health & safety team and external advisers to improve and develop our health & safety documentation
° Work with the Company Health & Safety Team and external advisers to ensure that members of each site team have the necessary training, competence and skill to carry out the tasks allocated to them
° Ensure compliance with environmental protection legislation and assist in the improvement and development of our environmental protection policies and procedures

° Ensuring that best practice is followed by our site teams and subcontractors
° In conjunction with the QA Manager ensure that the QA file is produced and maintained up to date during the course of each project

° Previous experience in management at a senior level of construction projects, including high rise
envelope and facades with contracts valued between £5m and £20m.
° Experience of pre-qualification and tendering processes
° CSCS black card
° Detailed knowledge of latest building techniques
° Good knowledge of contract conditions, CDM Regulations, programme and risk management
° Proficient in cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting
° Sound knowledge of groundworks plant
° Educated to HNC/HND/Degree level or equivalent
° Full UK driving licence

° CEng MICE or equivalent
° NEBOSH Construction Certificate
