Brand new opportunity; Luxury Residential Developer

Position: Development Manager

Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 plus bonus & benefits

Location: Central London

A luxury residential developer, investor and operator specializing in high quality residential developments in prime central London post codes, all in proximity to the finest range of amenities and transport connections, are recruiting a Development Manager. With a major joint venture partner and plans to create a series of new developments, in addition to those completed, this role will work directly with the Development Director to support the delivery of a growing pipeline.

The role

  • Overseeing construction phases (Stages 2 to 6) until hand over
  • Provide input into the formation of the development strategy, including approach to design and procurement
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams, including main contractors, consultants, and forward purchase developers
  • Work closely with the internal operations, sales & marketing, legal, investment and finance teams
  • Assist the investment team in assessing new site opportunities
  • Work with the finance team to prepare and report on project budgets, cash flow and forecasts
  • Provide input into legal contracts related to acquisition, development, construction, and consultancy agreements
  • Support in the appointment of external consultants and contractors
  • Work closely with the external PM and monitor their role
  • Implement development policies and procedures
  • Identify and manage risk
  • Prepare monthly reports to investors

About you

  • A minimum of 5 years post qualified experience in a relevant property or technical qualification (MRICS, RIBA etc)
  • Proven experience in delivering large scale high quality residential or hospitality projects
  • A full project life cycle knowledge including feasibility, design, planning, procurement, and construction delivery, as well as handover and customer care
  • Strong project management skills and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Commercially astute with strong numerical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Can demonstrate a passion for project management and hands on in approach
  • A resilient individual with a positive attitude focused on problem solving
  • Ideally experience as a Development or Project Manager at a developer, investor, operator, or consultancy
