ASSISTANT/QUANTITY SURVEYOR - NOTTINGHAM

UP TO £55,000 PER ANNUM

Capstone Recruitment are working with a medium-large sized cost management consultancy who specialise in industrial & logistics, which is an area in which they have seen huge growth. They have a wide range of high profile, household name clients with varying project sizes and have excellent progression opportunities, positively promoting an enterprising culture.

They are looking for a candidate at either assistant or cost manager level to work on all commercial and cost management aspects of a project, being vital to a project's successful delivery. You will be liaising with key clients regularly, gaining excellent exposure. Key responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of bills of quantities and cost estimates.
• Supporting senior quantity surveyors with cost management and procurement strategy advice.
• Assisting with the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
• Preparing valuations and agreeing final accounts.
• Monitoring and reporting on project costs and budgets.
• Assisting with the preparation of feasibility studies and cost plans.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and contractors.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of building contracts and standard forms of contract.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Full UK driving license.
