Position: Assistant Project Manager

Location: London

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Package & Bonus

Our client, a leading bespoke Project Management and Development firm, is actively searching for a skilled Assistant Project Manager to join their team.

Specialising in luxury residential development, they boast an impressive portfolio marked by projects of exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail and design. This role presents a prime opportunity for a skilled Assistant Project Manager to contribute to the ongoing success of delivering exceptional luxury residential projects.

Responsibilities:

Super Prime Residential Focus:

• Assist in spearheading the successful delivery of super prime residential projects, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and design.

Client-Facing Role:

• Collaborate with Project Manager to engage directly with clients to comprehend their needs, provide updates, and ensure the realization of their vision throughout the project lifecycle.

Construction Knowledge:

• Demonstrate a profound understanding of construction processes and sequences, facilitating effective support in the management and coordination of project activities.

Problem-Solving Attitude:

• Proactively identify and address challenges, collaborating with the project team to find effective solutions.

Role:

• Assist in developing and defining project brief and scope.
• Support in conducting project feasibility reviews.
• Collaborate on preparing project programs and budgets, updating regularly through project phases.
• Assist in developing the Project Management Strategy plan.
• Contribute to the procurement and appointment of the consultant team on behalf of the client.
• Support in coordinating and overseeing the design process with the lead designer.
• Assist in defining the procurement strategy.
• Contribute to the procurement (Tendering/Negotiation) of Contract Works.
• Assist in drafting Contracts.
• Support in administering contracts, including valuations and payment certificates.
• Participate in chairing and minuting meetings.
• Support in ensuring quality control and checking.
• Assist in addressing snagging issues.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal and Client Reports.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• 3+ years of experience supporting in the delivery of development/construction/refurbishment projects.
• University degree in a design or construction-related field.
• Proven experience in the super-prime property sector is preferable.
• Understanding and experience in administering the JCT Suite of Contracts.
• Commercial experience, including supporting in preparing budgets and valuing and certifying works.
• Strong understanding of construction - methods, materials, and sequence.
