 Matt  Cary  is  a  Founder  and  Director  of  Capstone.  He  leads  the  Data Centre and Mission Critical Projects team delivering  assignments  for  Construction,  Consultant  and  Developers  in  London,  regionally  and  internationally. Matt  graduated  in  business  from  Bournemouth  University  and  experienced  early  success  in  his  recruitment  career  at  an  executive  search  firm  in  Mayfair.  Three  years  on  Matt  joined  a  global  real  estate  business,  where  he  met  his  current  business  partners,  as  well  as  the  non-executive  directors  of  Capstone,  Dominic  Judd  and  Mark  Farris.

With  12  years’  experience  as  a  recruiter,  Matt  is  a  frontrunner  on  the  sales  floor  and  is  passionate  about  developing  consultants  into  high  performers.  He  enjoys  the  delivery  aspect  of  the  role  as  much  as  strategically  advising  companies  on  their  expansion  plans.  Matt  loves  the  travel  his  role  allows;  from  meeting  candidates  and  clients  in  EMEA  and  America  to  visiting  Capstone’s  Sydney  office.  He  also  enjoys  celebrating  the  success  of  Capstone’s  top  performers  with  trips  to  places  like  South  Africa  and  Miami  and  attending  industry  events  such  as  MIPIM  in  Cannes  and  BCO.

About the role This a Global Program Lead role within the Financial Services Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 10 and providing the operational delivery of all activities related to the Global Project Management Office (Capital expenditure budget of ~ $250M). You will deliver thought leadership, data governance, management of capital planning functions and continuous improvement of processes. This role has a strong emphasis on managing capital plans, financials, improving processes and interpreting data in a strategic capacity. About you Education; Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/BEng). The purpose of the Commercial Manager role is to optimise value through the appropriate understanding of budgets, costs and the allocation of contractual risks in addition to the implementation of robust contract management methods and processes during project execution. This role will require you to embrace the full project life cycle from inception through to completion and subsequently operational delivery. You will be expected to provide contract and cost management support during the development phases of a project and be a hands-on proactive contributor to the initiation and implementation of consultancy, construction, and other contracts during the development and delivery phases of a project. The role: Provide contract and cost management advice to the Head of Engineering & Asset Management and Project Managers, tailored to the nature and risk profile of the project scope. Produce robust Project Procurement plans which reflect effective risk management and contracting strategies. Prepare formal Cost Plans in accordance with RICS or equivalent appropriate standard commensurate with the stage of development of design or manage consultants undertaking the activity. Undertake tender negotiations with suppliers to ensure the optimum value for money and risk profile is achieved.
