 Matt  Cary  is  a  Founder  and  Director  of  Capstone.  He  leads  the  Data Centre and Mission Critical Projects team delivering  assignments  for  Construction,  Consultant  and  Developers  in  London,  regionally  and  internationally. Matt  graduated  in  business  from  Bournemouth  University  and  experienced  early  success  in  his  recruitment  career  at  an  executive  search  firm  in  Mayfair.  Three  years  on  Matt  joined  a  global  real  estate  business,  where  he  met  his  current  business  partners,  as  well  as  the  non-executive  directors  of  Capstone,  Dominic  Judd  and  Mark  Farris.

With  12  years’  experience  as  a  recruiter,  Matt  is  a  frontrunner  on  the  sales  floor  and  is  passionate  about  developing  consultants  into  high  performers.  He  enjoys  the  delivery  aspect  of  the  role  as  much  as  strategically  advising  companies  on  their  expansion  plans.  Matt  loves  the  travel  his  role  allows;  from  meeting  candidates  and  clients  in  EMEA  and  America  to  visiting  Capstone’s  Sydney  office.  He  also  enjoys  celebrating  the  success  of  Capstone’s  top  performers  with  trips  to  places  like  South  Africa  and  Miami  and  attending  industry  events  such  as  MIPIM  in  Cannes  and  BCO.

Capital Planning Cost & Senior Cost Manager (PMO) Salary: Up to £65,000 base + bonus + package Location: London Capstone are working in partnership with a leading real estate firm to find a Capital Planning Specialist Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to assist with the high-level commercial management of construction projects across U.K and Europe for global blue chip clients. Capital Planning and Management Experience in working with / developing / owning a prioritized Capital Plan Manage / Report in Capital Plan progress Interface with relevant client's regional stakeholders for plan details Establish capital expenditure processes to include implementation and ongoing support with the client's Real Estate team Monitor the project portfolio and pipeline and assist in project prioritization Track and report capital expenditure status Provide support in cost and performance benchmarking for project cost assurance Cost Assurance / Benchmarking Background in traditional Cost Management (Quantity Surveying) Input on Cost Assurance and understanding risk in construction projects (to make commercial allowances) Ensure data captured and repurposed in a format to feedback into future estimations Document control function to capture and record all final accounts in a timely manner Provide regional / global benchmarks as applicable Deliver project cost savings through engagement in the early stage of projects with client's Real Estate Markets aimed at mitigating time, cost and scope risks before funding approval of projects, focusing on high-value capital projects Capture and report savings to Client's Real Estate Markets monthly Success is measured by cost savings identified and additional projects delivered against the approved capital plan Sound like you: Construction and Program Management experience.
