POSITION: PROGRAMME DIRECTOR (NHS FOUNDATION TRUST)

TYPE OF CONTRACT: INTERIM

SALARY: BANDING 8c

LOCATION: SOMERSET

The details

This leadership position will be responsible for the design, management and delivery of a major Capital Programme on behalf of an NHS Foundation Trust based in Somerset, leading a team of internal and external stakeholders to deliver the complex transformation.

The roles responsibilities & duties

Full responsibility for leading the development of the programme business case from Strategic Outline Case to Outline Business Case and through to Full Business Case, ensuring a clear, coherent and robust strategy is in place.

The position will join a multi-disciplinary governance structure and lead a wider team of internal and external specialists. Ensuring the highest standard of programme management and stakeholder communication & engagement is critical to the successful outcome of the development.

About you

  • Educated to master's level or equivalent
  • MSP Practitioner
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • A track record in the delivery of sustainable change
  • The ability to switch from high level to detailed level planning
  • Delivery of Full Business Cases (Green Book)
  • Demonstrable experience of large scale, complex, transformational programme management
  • Experience of working with stakeholders/partners outside of own organisation
  • Significant knowledge and experience at senior level within a complex organisation, influencing and supporting decision making at Board level
  • Demonstrable experience of successful development of complex capital business cases
  • Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams with a range of seniority of staff Exceptional presentational abilities including paper reporting and formal presenting to senior leaders & clinicians, large groups and public forums
  • Highly developed IT skills
  • Demonstrable track record of developing effective, constructive relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Experience of business case financial planning & modelling
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and compare highly complex facts or situations and make judgements where expert opinion may differ
  • Motivated to make a difference in whatever they can
