Information and Communication Technologies have an increasingly important role in the railway field, creating more attractive, comfortable & added-value services. The big uptake in ICT is offering innovation in fleet management from both and operational and maintenance point of view.
We have a role working on large-scale rolling stock projects, focussing on ICT, where you will:
- Provide subject matter support and professional engineering advice from design to maintenance activities
- complete design verification and ICP certification
- undertake rolling stock supplier evaluation, including workshops, and assist in developing rolling stock capability
- conduct witness inspections and testing
- participate in the auditing process and play a key role in technical meetings
- complete design verification and ICP certification of rolling stock
You will need a number of years specific experience working with ICT on trains, with a bachelor degree in software, electrical or mechatronics.
A good knowledge of engineering processes, including failure-reporting, investigations, and engineering change, plus electrical / design modifications and overhauls on Rollingstock, with vehicle video surveillance and CCTV systems especially of interest.
