CLIENT SIDE | QUANTITY SURVEYOR (Procurement & Compliance)

Capstone are recruiting exclusively on behalf of a leading global property development company for a QS to work across our clients prestigious developments based in London. Our client is renowned for delivering exceptional and innovative developments across the world and this is a fantastic opportunity to work client side with an internationally renowned development company.

My client is looking specifically for a Senior Compliance and Procurement Manager but the responsibilities of this role will be mainly QS biased. My client would prefer for this candidate to have a background in Quantity Surveying, and they are happy to provide support for any gaps in knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS

• Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
• Participate in the procurement process, including contractor selection and negotiation.
• Monitor project costs, provide regular financial reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct thorough assessments of variations and change orders, analysing their cost implications.
• Provide expert advice on cost control, value engineering, and cost management strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, cost consultants and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.

Qualifications:

• A Degree in Quantity Surveying, and 3+ years of experience in Cost Management in a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Experience of large scale projects.
• Sound knowledge of legal and contractual frameworks.
• Experience of all RIBA stages of the design process from conception through to delivery.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Excel and project management software.
• Familiarity with building regulations and sustainability requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
