Rob  manages  the  General  Practice  and  Building  Surveying  teams  at  Capstone. 

He  is  responsible  for  growing  and  developing  these  business  units.  Rob  graduated  from  Newcastle  University  with  a  BA  Honours  in  Economics,  before  moving  to  London  to  start  his  career  in  property  recruitment  in  2012. 

Over  the  past  6  years  he  has  built  up  an  extensive  network  within  the  property  industry,  attending  events  such  as  MIPIM  in  Cannes,  RICS  Matrics  Ball  and  the  Surveyor  7s.  In  2016,  Rob  faced  his  biggest  challenge  when  he  tackled  his  fear  of  heights,  abseiling  down  the  Broadgate  Tower  for  the  LandAid  Towerathlon!

Alongside  billing,  Rob  is  focused  on  mentoring  and  developing  all  members  of  his  teams  and  and  expanding  Capstone’s  presence  in  their  respective  markets.

Senior Development Manager

Senior Development Manager Oxford (1 day a week) & UK wide travel £65,000 plus package & bonus To work for a leading British-based Investment and Development business. Supporting £100m of development projects over the next 5 years, and the number of individual developments could exceed 15. Overview: Providing development services at a senior level to deliver a programme of projects from initial identification, through feasibility, design development, viability assessment, planning, funding, and the finished product, in line with budget, programme and expectations, to produce out-performance relative to the business plan. Asset classes: industrial and business parks About the role: As part of the Development team, working alongside Commercial Directors, to establish suitable speculative development or pre-let opportunities that meet the strategic objectives at estate level, in line with Business Plans. To prepare and present in a timely fashion all PEA development papers to the Executive Committee for review and approval, with input as needed from the Asset Managers on the market supply and demand characteristics. For approved projects, providing a full project management service from inception to the end of defects liability period or sale of investment. To include inter alia: advising on the appointment of the Design team; managing the design process; preparing appraisals, dealing with planning issues, selecting and leading the professional team as client representative; negotiating appointments; and ensuring all legal documentation is properly in place as appropriate. To engage fully with negotiations on all aspects of development and project management, including agreements for leases, where new turn-key projects are proposed. To develop new opportunities that contribute to the sustainability agenda of the business. To manage the proper record keeping of all due diligence required by legal teams on sales or acquisitions including procurement of warranties letters of reliance and other contract material. Representing the investor at networking events and planning meetings where projects are being discussed. To work with the asset teams on business planning providing necessary support in formulating five year development plans. About you: Excellent reporting and presentation ability. Systematic and organised approach to management of complex development processes. A good networker. Ability to co-ordinate the development and planning process with detailed financial understanding. Property Analyst

Freelance Property Analyst £400 - £450 per day London - Mayfair A fantastic opportunity to work for a private family office investing in real estate and other financial products. Their real estate portfolio has been grown over the last ten years and is held in trust. It is managed with two distinct objectives, firstly as a defensive investment providing secure and conservative wealth preservation, and secondly as a mechanism for generating returns, by strategically acquiring, developing and either letting or selling good properties. The portfolio currently comprises UK assets with a value of circa £350m and is a mainly commercial portfolio (80%) with some high-end residential properties, predominantly in London. The family office takes responsibility for the full life cycle of assets, acquiring and actively asset managing as required. Day to day activities are outsourced to professional advisors. There is a strong emphasis on long term income yet they also opportunistically develop and refurbish in order to generate returns as appropriate. The Property Analyst will be required to build cash flows and write reports to the board. The purpose of this role will be to assist the directors in carrying out analysis of potential central London residential development schemes. The role will involve due diligence, feasibility studies and research into planning policies. The role has unlimited prospects for the right person who can demonstrate these capabilities. The ideal individual will be comfortable and proficient at carrying out detailed numerical analysis and will have an entrepreneurial edge with an eye for adding value.
