Position: Retail Project Manager (Client Side)

Location: Remote with travel (UK only)

Salary: £70,000 to £75,000 plus Bonus & Benefits

Capstone are partnered with a Multi-National Restaurant Group to recruit their Project Manager who will be responsible for all new site and remodel projects across the country. With a large existing UK portfolio and major growth plans, this role requires an experienced, dynamic, problem solver who can make very quick technical decisions.

Reporting to the Head of Construction the duties & responsibilities of the role are as follows

  • Manage external consultants and landlord/developer teams to deliver all works associated with new sites
  • Scope, manage and deliver all works associated with remodeling projects
  • Provide robust data internally to ensure accurate Programme reporting
  • Deliver feasibility layouts and costs in support of the capital new site projects
  • Liaise with acquisition team to effectively deliver the pipeline and advise on pre-construction activities
  • Effectively contract manage pre, post and contractor on site
  • Take ownership of the project budget setting
  • Provide guidance and leadership to external consultants, contractors, and suppliers
  • Assist with Franchisees in the application for approval of their new sites and ensure adherence to brand guidelines

About you

  • Ideally food and beverage experience in a franchise environment
  • Track record of managing multi-site projects on a though programme
  • Experience of liaising with landlords and developer's preconstruction
  • 5 to 10 years' experience managing projects in a restaurant, leisure, or retail environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, nationwide, with potentially frequent overnight stays away from home
  • Commercially aware with a strong value for money focus
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage, motivate and inspire consultants, contractors, and suppliers
  • Strong negotiating skills backed up technical awareness and knowledge
  • Familiar with statutory legislation and health & safety requirements as well as relevant building approvals and processes
