DEVELOPMENT MANAGER | CLIENT SIDE
£50,000-£70,000 PER ANNUM
REMOTE / HYBRID WORKING WITH 1 DAY A WEEK IN ST ALBANS REQUIRED
The UKs largest independent forecourt operator, with nearly 1,000 petrol stations, is working in partnership with Capstone to recruit a Development and Acquisitions Manager reporting directly into the Property Director.
As part of their internal Real Estate team, this is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment sourcing development opportunities, negotiating legal agreements, progressing sites through planning and have an overarching responsibility for site delivery from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have resilience to operate in a fast-paced environment and be delivery focused. They will also be required to possess the impact and influence necessary to effectively manage internal and external relationships.
Manage a pipeline of 40/50 plus developments per annum
Undertake site due diligence and development appraisal.
Site finding and utilising contacts to bring forward new opportunities.
Manage fees and scheme budgets
Negotiate terms and contracts with vendors or tenants.
Securing planning permissions and dealing with planning and highways agreements
Co-ordinating all key consultants including solicitors, architects, planners, highways consultants and liaising with internal stakeholders and operational departments
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
MRICS qualified preferred but not essential
3 years' relevant experience as a minimum in acquisitions, retail asset management or development
Proven track record in delivering development projects including broad understanding of the planning process
Experience with major planning applications and associated documentation
A detailed understanding of the legal process involved with acquisitions and lettings
Full clean driving licence
