Client Side, Strategic Development Advisor
£50,000 - £60,000 + car allowance + discretionary bonus

Joining the growing London strategic real estate team, this opportunity is for an Associate to provide strategic property advice to a specific government client. You will be joining a new client strategy team in its infancy, focusing on providing one client initially with ongoing strategic advisory on its current estates. The role will report into the Principal Strategic Advisor, who is a Partner in the Public Sector Advisory team. This will involve working onsite at their offices in central London at least three days a week, and the remaining two days being spent in the consultancy's City Office.

  • Liaising with the relevant client lead, senior managers, service providers, property occupiers, and finance team, to identify opportunities to improve the alignment of the estate to business needs as they change to meet the public service delivery agenda. Usually, seeking solutions to cut costs and improve value for money in use of the estate
  • Identifying projects and solutions that improve efficiencies, additionally exploring innovations
  • Report writing, including strategic studies and Green Book Compliant business cases, supported by comprehensive evidence and analysis
  • Appointing, managing and leasing with specialist sub-contractors when necessary



Skills & Experience

  • Preferred but not essential, strategic advisory experience to major private/corporate or public sector property occupiers
  • Relevant knowledge/experience of the workings of government departments or the wider public sector
  • Ability to organise and analyse complex and diverse property data to draw implications and conclusions, and have the ability to communicate these findings to a non-property audience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient IT skills to support the required data analysis and report writing
