An independently owned specialist construction and advisory consultancy are actively recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering top-quality projects to a diverse clientele. This freelance position offers a chance to be a driving force in maintaining exceptional standards and shaping the success of each project.

About the role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will assume a critical assurance role, acting as the guardian of client requirements. Your collaboration with project managers, quantity surveyors, and project coordinators will be essential in meticulously reviewing cost estimates and client briefs to ensure their alignment with project objectives and suitability. Your insights will be essential maintaining high standards and driving project success.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project team to review cost estimates and client briefs, providing critical assurance.
• Ensure that projects are aligned with client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Liaise with various stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to oversee the execution of critical security infrastructure projects.
• Utilise your expertise in fit-out projects (residential, retail, commercial) to ensure the success of our diverse portfolio.
• Play a key role in maintaining high standards of project delivery and client satisfaction.

About you

• Proficient project management experience, preferably in fit-out projects (residential, retail, commercial)
• Familiarity with program management, budget oversight, and client requirements
• Exposure to critical security infrastructure projects (security systems, cabling, CCTV)
• Proven ability to manage projects valued at £1-£2m
• Strong communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills
• Proactive problem-solving capabilities
